Megan in Washington, D.C.: Did I hear a rumor that there might be more fresh faces on Bones?
You know how the lab has a rotating door of "squints," er, assistants? Well, David Boreanaz, who, don't forget is also a producer on Bones, recently told us that they are thinking (just thinking) of having a revolving door on his end of the game as well.
Here's what he had to say...
Sneak Peek: Wentworth Miller's Debut on Law & Order: SVU
Wentworth Miller is hitting the beat, even if his character isn't happy about it.
Joining Law & Order: Special Victims Unit this season as Nate Kendal, Miller's playing it to the chest...which he may just get shot in if Kendal keeps up that attitude.
As seen in this sneak peek above, the new kid doesn't get along with the vets and it seems Kendal's dislike for Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) is only matched by their disdain for him.
Law & Order: Special Victims Units returns to NBC on Sept. 23 at 9 p.m.

The wait is over. After months of negotiations, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit stars Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni have renewed their contracts for two more years, a spokesperson for NBC confirms to us.

This Just In: Who Wants a Benson-Stabler Hookup on SVU?
• Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Chris Meloni wouldn't mind at all if Dets. Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler finally acted on their hot L&O: SVU chemistry. Meloni told TV Guide magazine, "I'd like to see Benson and Stabler get together...but I can’t let that happen. Mariska [Hargitay] and I have been a wonderful, solid married couple now for 10 years—we see each other more than our families. It's just nice to get a different dynamic in there every once in a while." As for his ongoing contract negotiations, Meloni said, "I wish I could enlighten, and I'm not being coy about it, but I really don't have anything to say." Do you think SVU can survive without Chris and Mariska at the helm?
• American Idol: Simon Cowell discussed the Idol lineup of judges on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and said, "I think certainly next year everyone's going to be back...Absolutely." Do you want to see more of Kara DioGuardi?

SVU Boss: Mariska Hargitay Will Be Back This Season
Is Mariska Hargitay really gone from NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for the rest of the season?
Despite her recent surgery to help repair a collapsed lung, and today's report from In Touch Weekly that "they have written [Mariska Hargitay] out of the rest of the season," SVU boss Neal Baer tells us exclusively that Mariska will be back, and soon.
Baer tell us, "That [report] is so bizarre! Her publicist was saying that this's going around, but the answer is absolutely not true! She will be back shortly. I talk to her all the time. She's doing great, so you can be the first to announce that there is no truth to this. She is slated to come back, she's feeling really well, and she will definitely be back. And she'll be back for the last four episodes."
So will Mariska have to be written out of the show at all because of her medical issues?

Luke Perry Definitely Not Returning to 90210
Dylan's done gone. Luke Perry has confirmed that he will not be appearing on the CW's 90210, despite the reveal in Tuesday's episode that Dylan McKay is the father of Kelly Taylor's (Jennie Garth) son Sammy.
During a conference call today about his upcoming guest stint on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, where he will play a foster parent suspected of child abuse, he was asked about the possibility of appearing on the new series. Perry replied, shall we say, tersely...
Spoiler Alert: Michaela McManus Joins SVU
Well, here's a fun riddle for you savvy mathematicians:
The lovely Michaela McManus (One Tree Hill's Lindsey and former receptionist at our E! building gym) has just been cast as a series regular on Law & Order SVU, playing the new assistant district attorney.
Meanwhile, you may remember that Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) called up and proposed to someone in the latest OTH season finale—either Lindsey or Peyton or Brooke.
What does this all add up to? The OTH writers crying in a corner somewhere.
At least, that's my guess, since not only is the loss of Michaela a, well, loss, but this casting news sure seems to point to a Lucas/Peyton or Lucas/Brooke pairing—or at the very least, a not-so-bright future for Lucas and Lindsey.
In the meantime, what do you think of Michaela's new gig? SVU is lucky, no? And more importantly, the money Q: Whom will Lucas choose? Comment below!
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Boss Neal Baer Talks Season 10
Earlier this afternoon I hit a Hollywood Radio & Television Society Newsmaker Luncheon Series on health care and medical insurance issues that was keynoted by the exceptional Sally Field and featured three very excellent TV bosses talking about health care issues on and around their shows: ER's John Wells, Scrubs' Bill Lawrence and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit's Dr. Neal Baer.
More from Wells and Lawrence later, but for now I wanted to share the season-10 dish spilled by Baer on his show, which just so happens to the best-rated program on all of NBC, and Baer's take on how a crime show can make a positive impact on the public health.
Read on to find out about a major S10 arc for one of the two characters pictured above...
