Malia & Sasha: Cheeseburgers and Milkshakes!

Michelle Obama must be taking notes from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who brought their brood to McDonalds earlier this week. The first mom treated her kids to the Good Stuff Eatery.

I just got word that Malia and Sasha joined their mom and about 15 of her staffers for a lunch at former Top Chef contestant Spike Mendelsohn's year-old restaurant on Capitol Hill.

What was on the menu? Read on to find out.

Most everyone enjoyed simple cheeseburgers, tempura-fried onion rings and fries. Mendelsohn also prepared several of his presidential-inspired Obama burgers, which come with blue cheese, red onion marmalade, horseradish mayo and smoked bacon.

For dessert, a casually dressed Michelle had a chocolate milkshake, while Malia also kept it simple with a vanilla one. Sasha, on the other hand, went for a Milky Way shake with butterscotch and hot fudge around the rim and malt balls.

"I didn't know they were coming until a couple of representatives of the White House came in with their little pins on their lapels and asked if it was all right if they take the upstairs and block it off," Mendelsohn told me. "They spent about an hour here."

This is the second time Michelle has had lunch at the restaurant. She and some staff were in about three months ago.

Considering Good Stuff is only about a 10-minute car ride from the White House, we have a feeling today won't be the last time Mendelsohn cooks for the Obamas.
