Patricia Arquette's Not Hung Up on Nudity
Patricia Arquette is excited about many things these days.
She's excited that CBS picked up Medium, that her husband's show Hung is doing well and that she soon gets to live out a childhood dream by being in a Night of the Living Dead-themed Halloween episode.
"I love that movie," she told reporters at CBS' Television Critics Association day. "When I was a teenager, it was kind of like when you start breaking away from the establishment and your parents. It's like you find these jewels after school...in the hot California sun, watching this weird movie. I love a good monster movie; here I am in a monster show. I'm the monster, but it's exciting."
She chatted up reporters after the panel yesterday to dish about that and then some...

Medium: Eulogy for an NBC Show
Nice try, NBC.
Those promos you made for next week's Medium finale subtly imply that after five years Medium is going off the air entirely. Of course, that's not true; Medium is really just moving to your competitor CBS after five years on NBC, having been banished from Leno-land because it supposedly doesn't generate enough 18-49 tweets or some such nonsense that totally disrespects an otherwise wonderful series.
If you've never watched Medium, the thing to know is that it's mostly about middle-class people living middle-of-the-road lives—oh, and the lead character happens to be a spiritual medium who communes with the dead.
Like Supernatural, Medium is a solid and innovative genre show that manages a wonderful balance between thrills, chills and gore, on one hand, and heart-warming family stuff on the other. It's not flashy, but it is a deeply creative enterprise and very rewarding for viewers.
So, this is our thank-you blog post to and about Medium, and in an effort to be detailed and specific in our gratitude, we've made a list of what we appreciate about Medium.
Long story short, Medium should never have gotten semi-canceled because no one talked about it! We can't change the past, but in hopes of providing Medium with a more secure future, here goes:

Medium Finale: The Dubois Family Gets Massacred?
The two words to best describe the season finale of Medium are wow and huh?! Show creators have death, cliffhangers and shocking events in store for the June 1 finale, and we don't think they are just yanking our chain.
"I'm dead serious," show creator Glenn Gordon Caron tells us. "It's quite a finale."
Of course, he's not going to give away all the twists and turns, but he did throw us a major bone by giving up the opening scene...

Rumer Willis Plays Prostitute on Medium
Rumer Willis is spreading her wings as an actress with a gritty role as a lady of the evening for her guest-starring role on Medium.
"It's a little strange for me to have the daughter of one of my closest friends [Bruce Willis] play a prostitute, but she is really terrific in this role," says Medium executive producer Glenn Gordon Caron, who worked with Bruce on Moonlighting.
Find out what else Glenn has to say about Rumer...
