It's Official! Octo-Mel Welcomes Latest Gibsonette

Maybe this is the real reason Mel Gibson won't be back for the next Mad Max: he's got more maddening things to worry about. Like diaper duty.

"This will confirm that Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson welcomed the arrival of a baby girl named Lucia on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles," publicist Alan Nierob tells E! News. "No further details are available at this time."

The 53-year-old Oscar winner confirmed he and his other woman fiancée were expecting during a Tonight Show appearance in May, during which he dubbed himself "Octo-Mel."

He has six sons and one daughter with his estranged wife of 28 years, Robyn. She filed for divorce in April after photos surfaced of the star and Grigorieva in Costa Rica, and Mel admitted he and the aspiring singer were romantically involved.

Grigorieva, meanwhile, has a son from her relationship with former Bond star Timothy Dalton.

Charlize Theron: Mad Maxine?

Mel Gibson, Mad Max, Charlize Theron Mad Max Films; Columbia Pictures

Charlize Theron is ready to go beyond Thunderdome. Mel Gibson, not so much.

Multiple sources tell E! News that the Oscar-winning babe is director George Miller's pick to play the lead female role in the upcoming, Mel-less Mad Max 4.

When announcing he was beginning work on the sequel back in 2007, Miller admitted Gibson was too old for the antihero role of "Mad" Max Rockatansky and "I don't think he would be interested in being involved at all."

Instead, Miller is looking at little-know Brit Tom Hardy, whose credits Black Hawk Down and Band of Brothers, to play opposite Theron.

However, the Mad Max revamp is a long way from fruition, and Miller is being very secretive about the roles and plot. Actors auditioning for the film have only been given a letter for their character's name. The studio has yet to sign off on Miller's choices, and no formal offers have been made.

A leather-clad Charlize kicking butt on the Outback? You'd think that's a no-brainer.

Mel Gibson's Tirade Target Off the Hook in Leak Investigation

Mel Gibson, Mugshot LA Sheriff's Department/ZUMAPress.com

If Mel Gibson drunkenly accuses Jews of being responsible for all the wars in the world and no one hears about it, did it ever really happen?

Well, we all heard about it, so it's safe to say it happened. But while Gibson has since paid the price in the court of public opinion for what he said, it's still unclear who leaked Gibson's arrest report, which included a recounting of the Braveheart star's supremely stupid comments, to TMZ.

The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office said Wednesday it will not be filing any charges against Sheriff's Deputy James Mee, who busted the actor for driving under the influence in 2006 and ended up on the receiving end of an anti-Semitic tirade.

"While it is clear that the crime of releasing public records prior to authorization was committed, the admissible evidence of identity is insufficient to warrant criminal charging," read the district attorney's charge evaluation worksheet, which concluded that there was no evidence proving that Mee was the only person who could have shared the info.

Judge Rubs Out Mad Mel's DUI Conviction

Mel Gibson Frank Micelotta/Getty Images

"Sugar tits," we hardly knew ya.

A California Judge today expunged Mel Gibson's 2006 drunk driving conviction from his record after he successfully completed all the terms of his three-year probation. Gibson, who was not in court for the ruling, pled no contest to the charges.

The ruling came at the behest of the Passion of the Christ mastermind's attorney, Blair Berk, who filed a motion Sept. 21 to dismiss the misdemeanor DUI case.

As part of his penance, the 53-year-old Gibson attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, made a number of public service announcements and paid $1,300 in fines over the infamous July 2006 incident, in which he called his arresting officer "sugar tits" and railed against Jews.

Mad Mel Rips Photographer, Prompts Police Report

On the plus side, nobody was called "sugar tits."

A late-night excursion to a new L.A. nightclub ended ugly for Mel Gibson, who ended up on the receiving end of a criminal complaint.

He and pregnant fiancée Oksana Gregorieva were attending Wednesday night's grand opening of Playhouse, when a shutterbug apparently got too up close and person for Mr. Mad Max's liking, and Gibson ripped the guy's shirt.

According to a spokeswoman for the LAPD's Hollywood division, the unidentified photog filed a police report early this morning accusing the 53-year-old Oscar winner of battery.

No comment yet from Team Mel. No charges have been filed and a police source has questioned the validity of the complaint.

Mel Gibson's Gal Gives More Than Just "Heartache"

Oksana Grigorieva has just released a new video for the title track of her forthcoming album, Beautiful Heartache. Unfortunately, it's our pretty little ears that are doing the hurting.

Just weeks after inflicting giving us a vid for her tune "Say My Name," Mel Gibson's baby mama once again puts song to celluloid—this time with the help of her famous boyfriend, who decided to direct this little lethal weapon.

Sure, visually it's kinda pretty, what with all the tango dancing around a flame-engulfed piano. And yeah, the girl certainly knows how to tickle the ivories.

But when the warbling itself includes seemingly Silence of the Lambs-inspired lyrics as "I love the way you wear your skin," you can't help but hope Buffalo Bill isn't too far behind.

Rise 'n' Shine: Mel Gibson's Girlfriend Sings Her "Name"

•  In case you thought Mel Gibson's girlfriend's claim at being a musician was just a line, Oksana Grigorieva has released two tracks and a music video for "Say My Name" on her website. We think her piano playing is lovely, if nothing else. What do you think? Is the mother-to-be a braveheart for putting this out there or should she be a patriot and keep it to herself?

•  Cristiano Ronaldo, that soccer player who supposedly hooked up with Paris Hilton the day after she dumped Doug Reinhardt, said he "had a great time talking to" the celebutant. Ah, euphemisms!

•  Blake Lively can summarize her entire life in 41 words. Impressive.

•  Francis Ford Coppola is using his wine to sell his new movie. Or he's hoping you'll drink enough of it that you'll see Tetro despite Vincent Gallo.

•  Katie Holmes and Ginnifer Goodwin's ex, Chris Klein, didn't have a secret wedding to a civilian, in case you care.

•  Lady Gaga's boobs go boom!

•  Dear Shia LaBeouf: Thanks for the explanation. You called your mom sexy in Playboy as a Mother's Day present. Makes sense. Love, Rise 'n' Shine

We're all on pins and needles to see the next chapter in The Reality of Jon & Kate Plus 8 tonight. In the meantime, we're remembering the good ole' days with this gallery.

Can Mel Gibson's Baby Mama Sing? You Decide

Mel Gibson, Oksana Grigorieva Kevin Winter/ Getty Images

Will fans buy the cow album if Mel Gibson's baby mama gives away the milk single for free? We'll find out soon.

"Say My Name," the first single from Oksana Grigorieva's forthcoming debut album, Beautiful Heartache, is now available for free download—and, presumably, Internet mockery—at her official website, oksana.fm.

"It is the first and one of the simplest songs on the album, but also one of the most intimate," says the 39-year-old singer. The album will be released this summer on Icon Records, the label owned by, yes, Gibson. "Say My Name" was also written for an upcoming movie that, while unnamed, sounds a lot like the Gibson-starring Edge of Darkness.

"It is naked, intimate, raw emotion," she says of the track, "little more than piano and voice as if it is a cry from the soul."

Take a listen and let us know if it makes your soul cry...or your ears bleed.

Mel Gibson, Estranged Wife Want Divorce on the Downlow

Mel Gibson, Robyn Gibson Steve Granitz Archive/Getty Images

Mel Gibson's soon-to-be ex-wife doesn't want anyone peeping at her payback.

Robyn Denise Moore-Gibson has been granted a request to keep the details of the dueling couple's divorce case confidential.

The protective order covers expert witness reports, tax returns and financial records, as well as videotaped depositions and other family-related material. Team Mel backed the move, which also prevents the Gibsons from discussing the case publicly.

In other words, we won't be privy to all the details like how much the star is actually worth—reportedly upwards of $900 million—and how much his missus is requesting to keep for herself.

The pair signed the agreement in April but it was not granted by Los Angeles Superior Judge Frederick Shaller and filed by the court until June 5.

Robyn initially filed for divorce from her husband of 28 years in April, admitting that the two had been living apart for nearly three years. Gibson's current girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, is pregnant with the actor's eighth child.

Brad Pitt Quotes Mel Gibson's DUI Rant

Sunday's MTV Movie Awards: Special Twilight Edition wasn't the only awards show happening over the weekend. Spike TV filmed their Guys Choice Awards Saturday night—and they managed to get Brad Pitt to show up (but no Angelina Jolie...).

The show, which will air June 21, opened with Mel Gibson riding a horse in a Viking helmet onstage (funny in a "you had to be there" way, maybe?), where he then announced Fight Club's induction into the prestigious Guy Hall of Fame.

Brad accepted the honor from his esteemed colleague by choosing his favorite line from Gibson's infamous 2006 DUI rant...

Mel's Baby-Mama Files Cybersquatter Suit

Mel Gibson, Oksana Grigorieva Kevin Winter/ Getty Images

It's been less than a week since Mel Gibson confirmed his girlfriend is pregnant and already she's making some pretty serious demands. But not on the movie star.

In an effort to practice safe searches (if not the other thing), Oksana Grigorieva has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, accusing a web-hosting company of cybersquatting after it purchased a domain and launched a seemingly official website in her name.

DreamHost.com is named as the defendant and is accused of spreading false information about the Russian singer. It's unclear exactly what falsehoods the site was propagating since OksanaGrigorieva.com now appears to have been shut down.

Grigorieva and the self-anointed "Octo-Mel" made their debut as a couple last month, just two weeks after Gibson's estranged wife Robyn filed for divorce. After much speculation, he confirmed on the Tonight Show this week that the duo was expecting their first child together.
