So Mischa Barton had an awkward interview on The View earlier, for all intents and purposes confirming our original story of her being admitted for suicidal behavior.

Mischa was just on the still-fab babe chat show discussing her hospitalization in the psychiatric ward a couple of months ago, and she's still ridiculously sticking to the "I had bad wisdom teeth surgery" story. We were told by top Barton insiders back then that advisors were begging her not to put the "dental story" out as the reason she was admitted to the mental ward, but apparently Mischa decided otherwise—and it obviously created even more of a stir, as expected.

"I'm so fine now, but it was really just a bad time for me," Mischa spilled. "It was sort of one of those things that was like a perfect storm. Everything happened at once."

Stress buildup, among other things, can definitely mark the beginning of a mental breakdown. Not bad teeth. Good thing Barbara Walters was thinking the same way:

Mischa Barton was just recently released from her hospital stay, and she's immediately popping up all over the place. Wasn't much of a break, was it?

Misch was seen slinking outside B&H Electronics on New York City's Westside, shopping for some high-tech equipment, 'tho we wish she were shopping for a new wardrobe. She donned her usual odd attire of black short-shorts, black T, a vest, and a black hat topping off her hipster fashion statement.

At least she looked happy chatting with two gal pals, displaying a much more hopefully countenance than how she was a few weeks ago.

Mischa Barton's recent hospital stay was due to "suicidal" actions, claims a source very close to the star's drama. Also, the insider asserts, the attempt may have coincided with Mischa's bosses at the CW's The Beautiful Life deciding they no longer desired her services.

Even though Barton's now out and about, though not very publicly, we're told she's still recovering from a very dark period.

"She tried to kill herself," claims the source close to Barton, who also asserts that Mischa had also been let go—and later rehired—from the soap.

"She was being crazy that day [when she went to Cedars Sinai Medical Center]," says another knowledgeable source, who had direct dealings with Ms. B right before she entered Cedars in Los Angeles, reportedly involuntarily under a psychiatric hold, for "medical reasons."

"Absolutely false," insists Barton's rep, "your source is far from knowledgeable, as nothing they've told you is true, inclusive of the suicide attempt."

Mischa Barton, in a crabby mood at LAX, waiting to get her much-anticipated ass (we're sure) out to NYC for Fashion Week. Meesh apparently stood in a huff 'cause her Continental flight was delayed, passing over her passport and filling out some report with a cop.

Did he want to see some ID? Did he not believe a celebrity would be wearing such a fugly fur coat? Did some bystanders bump her too much or what? Misch-hon then went over and schlumped down on the floor among the regular folks, reading, of all things, The Enquirer. Hoping to catch a glimpse of herself?
