Yo, bad guys, look out: Dexter Morgan isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Showtime has just confirmed that America's favorite serial killer will be sticking around for not one but two more seasons, causing the fans in our office to immediately bow down and worship our Showtime shrine.

The series has scored a fourth and fifth season of 12 episodes each. And Showtime Prez Bob Greenblatt admits even he is surprised at how well-received the show has become...

"I thought at best we could attract a devoted cult audience," explains Greenblatt, "but soon realized that, ironically, this show is so thematically rich and layered with humanity that audiences of all kinds have flocked to it."

Now airing its third season, Dexter remains Showtime's highest-rated drama series with more than 3 million viewers.

When reached at home for comment regarding the pick-up news, Dexter's sister Deb Morgan exclaimed, "F--k yeah!"
