"That was incredible!!!," the group's manager Scooter Braun tweeted following the performance at Wembley Stadium. "‪@NathanTheWanted I'm very proud of u. U worked hard and that was an amazing surprise and ridiculous solo!! Well done!"

Nathan also hit Twitter to show his appreciation to fans following the performance, writing, "thanks for all the love today. Really put a smile on my face ...,"

His bandmate Max George also welcomed him back, tweeting, "#NathanIsBack love you mate! Welcome back."

A few days before the Summertime Ball Festival it wasn't clear if Nathan would be well enough to attend.

So, when he did show up on stage at the music fest, not only did the crowd go wild, but his unexpected performance sparked the worldwide trend #NathanIsback.

Back in May, Max told E! News Nathan was being treated by the "best" doctors, and that the chances were "really good" that he was going to be okay.

And Nathan revealed more about his progress to Capital FM recently, saying, "[The vocal surgery] wasn't pleasant but the operation went as good as it could have apparently and I've just been resting and focusing on tying to get better."

We're happy to see Nathan back in action!
