While watching Eminem perform his new single "Berzerk" on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, some folks went a little, well, berserk.

Almost immediately after he took the stage, speculation began to surface that the 41-year-old artist may have been lip-syncing his performance.

However, Slim Shady's rep tells E! News the rapper "was not lip-syncing," saying that Em "doubles his vocals live. Rhymes over a vocal track."

What's more, the rep adds, "He only does it sporadically through the songs. They're accent tracks."

Well, there you have it.

"Berzerk" is one of 16 tracks that will appear on Eminem's new album MMLP2—as in Marshall Mathers LP 2.

The set is a sequel to 2000's critically acclaimed The Marshall Mathers LP, which spawned such megahits as "The Real Slim Shady," "The Way I Am" and "Stan." It went on to become the rap superstar's biggest-selling effort, with 27 million copies sold worldwide.

MMLP2 drops on Nov. 5 and features collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Skylar Grey, fun. frontman Nate Ruess and Rihanna, who teamed up with Eminem on 2010's "Love the Way You Lie."

(E! and Saturday Night Live are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
