The Big Bang Theory actress won "Favorite Comedic TV Actress" at the People's Choice Awards in L.A. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, beating out Jane Lynch, Lea Michele, Melissa McCarthy and Zooey Deschanel. Of course, the newlywed gave her tennis player love Ryan Sweeting a shout-out from the podium.
"To my new husband, this is the second best thing that's happened to me all year. The first was marrying you!" she told the athlete while accepting the award. Later that night, The Big Bang Theory took home the award for "Favorite Network TV Comedy."
Post-show, the winner tweeted, "Thank you @peopleschoice ! I'm so touched and honored!!!!"
The outing marked the first time Cuoco, 28, and Sweeting, 26, have attended an official red carpet event since getting hitched on New Year's Eve. The TV star modeled a Sachin and Babi ensemble and Aperlai heels, while her hubby opted for a more casual look, sporting a simple black tee and jeans.
For their Dec. 31 wedding in Southern California, Cuoco donned a petal-pink strapless Vera Wang gown for the occasion, and later tweeted that the wedding was the "greatest night of my entire life."
Sounds like she meant it!
