For a lot of musicians, their "made it" moment involves hearing their song on the radio for the first time, winning a Grammy or hitting No. 1 on the charts. For Katy Perry, her "made it" moment has to do with being easy and breezy.

When chatting with Ryan Seacrest on the Grammys red carpet, the "Roar" singer revealed that when CoverGirl told her she was the next face of the brand, she knew she was officially big time.

"I get to be part of the CoverGirl group," she gushed. "Everybody asks me, ‘Oh, when did you feel like you made it?' And I was like, ‘Oh, when CoverGirl called me up and said, ‘Hey, do you want to be a CoverGirl?'"

Perry, who is nominated for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Roar," said her performance tonight was inspired by a certain musical icon and current guest star of FX's American Horror Story: Coven.

"I was hanging out with Stevie Nicks, that's why I was late," she told Ryan. "Actually my performance is kind of inspired by her. Let's just say one of my favorite lines, ‘Which witch is which?' It's very spooky. It's very dark."

Maybe Katy is a Coven fan? Let's just hope it doesn't involve too much blood and/or beheading. And speaking of blood, John Mayer's girl said that when she performs her anthem "Roar," she kind of feels like Charlie Sheen. Seriously.

"What is that thing called that Charlie Sheen…tiger blood!" Katy exclaimed. "I didn't follow it much but I feel like it's appropriate now. Tiger blood is going through my blood every single time I sing "Roar."

Perry was wearing a Valentino gown adorned with music notes, as the skirt looked like a giant, flowing music sheet.

"It's musical for music's biggest night!" she said.

Way to stay on message, Katy. We're looking forward to your spellbinding performance!
