I can exclusively report that X-Men director Bryan Singer is going to be a dad.
"I can confirm that Michelle Clunie and Bryan Singer are happily expecting a baby together in early 2015," Singer's rep Simon Halls tells me exclusively. "Best friends for 25 years, mother and father are both very excited about the upcoming birth and look forward to co-parenting the child together. The pair have been planning this baby for years and have been trying for the last two."
Despite an earlier report, we're told Clunie, an actress most famous for her work on Queer As Folk as Melanie Marcus, is not a surrogate.
In May, Singer told Out magazine he was bisexual.
"I'm quite bisexual," he said. "In the last five years, I've had two girlfriends—one for two years, one for eight months…In the end, it's probably going to be a guy. I emotionally lean towards male relationships, so I'm happy to say I'm gay, too, if it's a one-syllable, easy answer."
