The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences may have overlooked Jennifer Aniston's noteworthy turn in Cake, but we're definitely recognizing her style choices as of late.
The actress, known for her penchant for black and white, classic—albeit safe—looks, has been incorporating fun colors and prints and donning chic silhouettes on the awards show circuit. Perhaps it's the recent critical acclaim or maybe Jen is just feeling adventurous, but we're hoping she'll continue to surprise us all year long—especially tonight at the SAG Awards.
We're looking for the same wow-factor she brought to the 2013 Oscars in a hot-red strapless Valentino gown. And we really wouldn't mind seeing Jen's fun and flirty side, which made an appearance in a playful Christian Dior floral frock for the We're the Millers premiere in London.
On the promotional tour for her SAGs-nominated role, Jennifer sold us her character's emotional transformation as well as her own style evolution. The Internet just about broke when she appeared in a coral Calvin Klein Collection shift and gushed over Jen's feminine Giambattista Valli number, which featured a floral, texturized print and scalloped design details—a departure from her usual sleek, simple picks.
Jen brought back her favored classic look to the 2015 Critics' Choice Awards in a Gucci spring 2015 pantsuit. Not only did she hit the menswear-inspired trend in Marsala, the Pantone color of the year, but elevated the look with a plunging neckline.
So what did the Friends alum finally hit the SAG Awards red carpet in?
As expected, the star stuck with her beloved black, but the vintage Galliano gown was strikingly different than her usual look. With a plunging neckline and very sexy, seemingly see-through lace detailing, paired with easy, effortless hair and makeup, Jennifer is still a winner in our book.
