Ciara and Russell Wilson may have held a lavish wedding ceremony on July 6 in Cheshire, England but E! can exclusively report the two were married in King County, Washington on Saturday, July 9, 2016.
The "I Bet" songstress and her NFL star husband were surrounded by a slew of celebrities as they tied the knot during a breath-taking union at Peckforton Castle just over a week ago. Ciara called on LaLa Anthony and Kelly Rowland as two of her eight bridesmaids while longtime BFF Jennifer Hudson also attended the nuptials.
Ciara donned a one-of-a kind Roberto Cavalli Couture wedding gown, which was designed by the label's creative director Peter Dundas, and the Seattle Seahawks quarterback sported a custom Giorgio Armani suit of his own.
Since becoming husband and wife, the stunning pair turned heads when they made their red carpet debut as a married couple on the ESPY Awards red carpet Wednesday. Just a day later, Wilson caught up with E! News' Sibley Scoles at the 2016 Kids' Choice Sports Award to dish on all things wedded bliss.
When asked if Ciara and Russell saved a piece of their cake, the athlete admitted, "It was hard to bring back the cake from Liverpool to America, and I'd truly be a fat kid if I did that. I am one already."
"We ate pretty much all the cake already so I don't think there was any more cake toppings at all," he added.
Given that Earth, Wind & Fire provided the reception's musical accompaniment, it's no wonder the entire wedding party worked up quite the appetite dancing the night away.
